Process
- Step 1: Submit all documents to LLI for checking
- Step 2: Invoice & Payment
- Step 3: Submit to immigration
- Step 4: Appointment at immigration for the extension
- Step 5: KITAP is done
What is important to know
- The Investor KITAP allows you to manage, lead, sign contracts, and hire staff
- It is sponsored by your PT PMA
- It may reduce taxation on dividends
- It allows unlimited entries and exits from Indonesia
- It is valid for up to 5 years and allows you to sponsor your family members via a Family KITAS
- You must be in Indonesia to apply
- If you overstay your KITAP, the penalty is 1 million IDR per person per day
- Immigration reserves the right to change the regulations at any time
- You must have a capital of 15 billion IDR in your PT PMA to apply
- The KITAP application must be submitted no later than 2 months before your Investor KITAS expires
Documents
Required documents for Investor KITAP application:
- Copy of passport (minimum validity: 18 months for a 1-year KITAS, 32 months for a 2-year KITAS)
- ID photo (selfie with white background)
- Last 3 personal bank statements (minimum balance of 2,000 USD at the end of each month, in PDF format with name and date visible)
- Residential address in Indonesia
- Latest PT PMA bank statement showing a balance of 10,000 USD
- Valid electronic visa + entry stamp (onshore process)
- Balinese ID card
- NPWP (Tax Identification Number)
- SKTT (Temporary Residence Certificate)
Required PT PMA company documents:
- Deed of establishment / Akta
- SK Menkumham
- NIB (Business Registration Number)
- Company letterhead
- Physical company stamp
- Balinese ID card or local KTP
- Director’s ID card or passport
- KKKPR (zoning document)
- Company NPWP
- Company profile from AHU
