The E33G – Remote Worker is a KITAS that allows you to work online for a foreign company while living in Indonesia. This KITAS allows you to enter and exit the country as you wish. It is valid for 1 year, with the possibility of 5 annual extensions, for a maximum duration of 6 years.

The processing time for this offshore KITAS is 7 business days (excluding weekends and public holidays). We can help you obtain your residence permit faster. The process begins once all documents have been verified and payment has been received.

This KITAS does not allow you to earn a salary in Indonesia, receive income locally, or be employed by an Indonesian company. You may not sell goods or services. It only allows you to work remotely for a foreign company.

To obtain the E33G, you can be sponsored either by our agency or by an Indonesian company.

You can apply for this residence permit either from abroad (“offshore”) or while in Indonesia (“onshore”).
For onshore applications, it is possible to convert an existing visa into a Remote Worker KITAS, but this depends on the current visa type and the sponsor (verification required). To convert your visa into an E33G KITAS, you must have at least 30 days of validity remaining on your visa. The conversion process takes 14 business days (excluding weekends and public holidays).

The Remote Worker KITAS also allows you to sponsor your family with a Family KITAS, which is also valid for 1 year and allows multiple entries and exits.

OFFSHORE: Apply for a visa from abroad

ONSHORE: Apply for a visa while in Indonesia (deactivate through immigration)

OWN SPONSOR: To obtain a certain visa you need to have a sponsor. This sponsor must provide a list of very specific documents. Sponsoring a visa means that the company guarantees for you in the event of a problem in Indonesia and supports your application with the administrations.

Process

  • Step 1: Send the required documents for the E33G visa
  • Step 2: Our team verifies your documents
  • Step 3: KITAS payment
  • Step 4: Process begins once payment is received (10–12 business days, excluding weekends and holidays)
  • Step 5: You receive your e-visa via WhatsApp or email. You have 90 days to enter Indonesia
  • Step 6: Arrival in Indonesia. Present your e-visa to immigration. Once cleared, your KITAS is activated

  • This KITAS does not allow you to work or receive income in Indonesia. You may not sell goods or services
  • You can sponsor your family with a Family KITAS
  • This KITAS allows multiple entries and exits
  • You must be sponsored by an Indonesian company or by our agency
  • It only allows you to work online for a foreign company
  • It is valid for 1 year and can be renewed up to 5 times (maximum 6 years)
  • If you currently have a visa, you may apply onshore
  • If you overstay your KITAS, the penalty is 1,000,000 IDR per person per day
  • If you wish to apply for another visa or KITAS, you must process an EPO (Exit Permit Only)
  • Immigration reserves the right to change the regulations at any time
